The Angus Hotel

For the price I absolutely cannot fault it. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The shower did take a while to get warm but we understand they had an issue with their boiler and had to switch to the backup. The sauna was genuinely lovely for the price. Everything felt clean, fresh towels were available, and they make sure it doesn't get too crowded. One small gripe was the chemicals were off in the pool as it looked hazy and my eyes were red after swimming for 5 minutes without going under water. One final negative was getting to the room. The hotel has lots of stairs, stiff doors and narrow corridors. Fine when walking but a pain with a suitcase but there is an escalator which will give some rooms step free access.

Stayed for the Christmas break and l can't thank the staff enough. They worked so hard to give an excellent service, free prosecco, mulled wine, hot chocolate and a wee welcome hamper. Food was absolutely delicious, can't fault it, big portions and great choice. Spa was absolutely brilliant, very clean and beautiful. Entertainment every night and didn't finish too late, so still had a good sleep. Parking included made it easier. Looks like they're in the middle of a refurbish and the first room had a horrible noise that was too loud to sleep in. Moved to another room which was way better, quiet and with a view but the TV didn't work. Apart from that, everyone was lovely, friendly and couldn't do enough for the guests, much appreciated.

The rooms were very clean as were the breakfast room and restaurant. Food was lovely and plenty of choice forbreakfast. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The pool and jacuzzi and changing rooms were spotless. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Blairgowrie. There's a bus stop a few yards from the hotel and we got a bus into Perth and had a nice afternoon there.

Had a lovely overnight stay in this hotel. The room was large, bright, airy and clean. There was entertainment on in the evening and drink prices were reasonable. Breakfast was really lovely, but some items at the cooked stations were quite slow in being replenished, although everything was very well cooked.

We stayed a Thursday evening and had an all round great experience! Staff (2 males) were friendly and very helpful, even upgrading us to the twin room as booked but in a refurbished room which was fab. Dinner was also good, fast service and food as expected for pub/hotel meal - bar staff super friendly and accommodating :) Many elements of spa out of order and this is disappointing but an issue for management/owners and not the staff. We would stay again - in one of the refurb rooms as the mattresses were great!

Nice hotel in good location. Food was lovely. Drinks on the expensive side. No robes or slippers for spa was disappointing. Jacuzzi out of order. Reception staff could have been friendlier. Restaurant staff were lovely.

Was away for a tribute night with friends. Room I had was a single, and clean and comfortable and ideal for one. I think it was one of refurbished rooms. Some friends shared two different twins which though not refurbished were both nice enough though a bit dated and a good size. The King room others shared was nice but water pressure issue. Tribute night music was fab, plenty space for a dance. Food was mixed, some dishes better than others in taste and generosity and room for improvement here. Breakfast buffet was really good though, though it was DIY table setting. Car parking limited so ended up in one of over flow ones. Staff were friendly. One small thing, needs a new Gents sign in function room mens toilet. The trousers bit not defined enough, and us and several ladies wandered the wrong way!

After reading the reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel . Room (209)was modern, warm, clean, well equipped with comfy bed . Only one little gripe was the water pressure in shower it’s a trickle and takes a good 10 mins to get the water warm , but I still managed to get a shower. Dint use spa so can’t comment. Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice . Staff all pleasant and helpful.
